Santa Fe used one or two head end mail cars in their 'Chief' and Grand Canyon' consists between 1962 and 1967. These cars were converted from old heavyweight cars when the body was stripped and the underframes were decked with wood. The cars were loaded with 20' Mail Containers, and the cars were numbered 200-226.
The N Scale Kits car has a cast lead free pewter chassis with etched grabs, and laser cut wood decks.

Recommended 3 axle trucks are Microtrains® 1018
Couplers should be medium extension, but body mount couplers can be used if preferred.
Decals in N Scale from MicroScale® sheet 60-832 can be used for this car.
