Delivery of these cars began in late 1997, a total of 286 3-unit cars were built. DTTX 400000-400285. In addition to carrying containers up to 48ft in the bottom position and 53ft on top, each well could also carry a trailer up to 53ft, or two 28ft pup trailers. The trailer hitches are believed to have been removed from these cars from around 2001.
